Privately owned production

We at Segers take our responsibility to ensure that our work clothes can be worn with a clear conscience.

Own staff

As much as 90% of Segers' range is manufactured in our own factories by our own staff. We were early to take responsibility for good working conditions for all employees. Our code of conduct has for many years been a natural part of the work to ensure sound working conditions at our factories and with our suppliers.
We own our own production units in Ukraine and Pakistan, which gives us full control. As a customer, you always have the opportunity to visit our factories to see how we work with environmental and social responsibility. We have had several visits from customers, suppliers, and other external companies and organizations. One example is JICA (Japanese International Cooperation Agency), which has visited us several times. JICA is very impressed with our way of working on gender equality issues and presented Segers Pakistan at their seminar in Japan in September 2019. Segers, for example, has one of the few female cutters in Pakistan.
As an employee at Segers, you have the right, among other things, to work in bright and hygienic premises with good heating and ventilation. You have the right to go home with pay even if the order books are not full. Working hours are according to each country's legislation, and everyone receives compensation for overtime and paid vacation as well as contributions to pension and insurance. Segers also takes responsibility for helping the local population outside the obvious employer areas. This has included everything from purchasing defibrillators for hospitals and materials for schools to sponsoring the local music school at our production unit in Ukraine. These are some of the reasons why we have received the highest rating in Amfori audits of our production.
