Segers kokinvaatteet tulevaisuuden kokkeja varten, joissa tyyli, joustavuus ja kestävyys ovat keskiössä. Unisex-vaatteiden kysyntä on vahvaa, mutta nyt on aika tarjota ainutlaatuinen ja naisellinen tuote ravintola-alalla. Kokkien innoittamana siitä, että mekko on aliarvostettu vaatekappale, on syntynyt innovatiivinen ratkaisu – joustava kokinmekko....

Mitä oikein tehdään tahraisille, vanhoille, käytetyille pöytäliinoille, joilla on liikaa palveluskertoja CV:ssä? Niistä tehdään kokkitakkeja. Yhdessä tekstiilipalveluntarjoaja Eliksen kanssa Segers testaa uutta upcycle-projektia tekstiileillä, jotka ovat aiemmin eläneet toisenlaista elämää. Lopulta se tapahtuisi. Pöydällä oli allekirjoitettu ja valmis sopimus. Oli uudenvuodenaatto, ja Pia ja Jonas Dahlbom -pariskunta oli juuri varmistanut täydellisen tilan unelmaravintolansa perustamiseen. Jäljellä oli enää uuden vuoden maljan kohottaminen. Kuinka he odottivat vuotta 2020.

Since 2003, Segers has had a factory in Ukraine. More precisely in Shumsk, about 200 kilometers east of the major city Lviv. The factory produces nearly 400,000 garments annually for Segers. The factory is one of 6 units within the Segers group and one of two factories. We want to tell more about how the factory and staff have been affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

This year marks exactly 200 years since Marie-Antoine Carême set the standard for how a chef should be dressed behind the stove. After a sensational career in the kitchens of, among others, Emperor Napoleon, the British Crown Prince George IV, and the Russian Tsar Nicholas I, he launched his ideas about how the chef should dress. 

Segers have launch Zero Waste, a new set of chef’s clothing produced entirely without fabric waste. Just as chefs aim not to waste any part of their raw ingredients, we at Segers want to avoid wasting any of our own...
